Dr. Lee joined the faculty in August 2008. Before joining Iowa State, he worked at the Genome Center, University of California-Davis as a staff scientist, and at the Department of Chemistry, Indiana University as a post-doctoral fellow with Prof. David E. Clemmer. He received his PhD from Seoul National University in 1997 with Prof. Myung Soo Kim, and worked for LG Semicon and Hyndai Electronics before coming to United States. His mass spectrometry expertise covers wide disciplines including fundamentals, instrumentation, proteomics, and ion mobility. His current research interests include MALDI-based mass spectrometry imaging and its applications to plant metabolites, forensics, among others.
